Minnesota North Stars

Brian was signed as a free agent by the Minnesota North Stars. In 1991, he netted his 400th goal against the Flyers. He played on a line with Mike Modano and Dave Gagner. The North Stars made it into to playoffs and then knocked off: the Chicago Black Hawks  (number 1 overall), St. Louis Blues (number 2 overall), Edmonton Oilers (reigning Stanley Cup winners) and then lost the Stanley Cup in game 6 to Mario Lemieux and the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Brian holds the record with 8 playoff goals for the North Stars. Brian played two more season with the North Stars before moving onto the Hartford Whalers.
