Flyers enter Allstar break winning

The Philadelphia Flyers made sure they entered the NHL All-star break on a good note by going 3-1-1 in their last five games. On January 17th the Flyers took it to the Minnesota Wild at the Wells Fargo Center and emerged with a 5-1 victory due to a balanced scoring attack that included two powerplay goals and a shorthanded marker. Two days later the team came up on the short end of a divisional matchup with the struggling New York Islanders. They couldn’t come up with an answer to Islanders goaltender Evgeni Nabokov until midway through the third period after New York already had a 3-0 lead and eventually lost 4-1.

WMCN44, Philadelphia recently announced the addition of Jennifer Sherlock as a contributing reporter to its Flyers-focused sports show "Propper Hockey."
Sherlock is the President of Jenna Communications and was a full-time television reporter/anchor for eight years in the Atlantic City, Harrisburg and Philadelphia markets. She will join the station's original program alongside NHL legend Brian Propp and local veteran sportscaster Lou Tilley on February 1, 2012.

The Philadelphia Flyers have bounced back nicely from their Winter Classic let down by winning four of their last five games. They started the run off with a home victory in a 2010 Stanley Cup Finals rematch against the Chicago Blackhawks. The Flyers held a 4-2 lead but allowed Chicago to tie it late in the game. James van Riemsdyk notched his second tally of the night with under a minute to play in regulation to notch the game-winner. They followed up that victory with another one of the Overtime variety against the Ottawa Senators.
